Tips for Buying Custom Label Bottled Water

Want to carry your brand through the entire customer experience? Custom label bottled water is a prominent feature in many organizations, from car dealers and law offices, to hospitality. It’s considered a kind gesture, and is always a great way to keep your brand the focus, to the last sip. Here are some things to consider when you’re adding custom bottled water to your marketing ice chest.

1. Pick the type and size of bottle that’s right for your needs.

Crushable bottles, recycled bottles, premium bottles, even LIGHT-UP bottles… there are so many to choose from! Whether 8oz, 12oz, or the typical 16.9oz bottle is what you’re looking for, make sure you get a sample of the bottle so you know the quality you’re getting. And a pro tip: Smaller doesn’t always mean cheaper. The 8oz size is usually more expensive per bottle than the 16.9oz (although it would cost a little less in shipping).

Look at how many bottles there are! >

2. Know your label & maximize your imprint.

Most bottle options include a full color label, and only a small space is dedicated to the bottling information, so you have a nice canvas to display your logo and message. Consider adding a coupon or special offer that gives your label a longer “shelf life”.

And a label that isn’t waterproof will start to run when it meets the condensation. We always recommend a waterproof label for that reason.

3. Don’t forget about shipping (..and storage… and expiration).

There is usually a minimum of a half pallet on custom printed bottled water. Depending on the case quantity and size, that can be several cases of very heavy water, and it’s not cheap to ship, so factor that into your budget.

You’ll also want to consider where you will store your water to keep it from getting too hot (or too cold, if you’re not into bottled ice).

Also, many bottlers will stamp a recommended “best by” date on their bottles, or a “bottled on” date. Of course, water doesn’t really go bad, but for best taste, and to avoid grossing out your thirsty recipient, have a plan for using your water within about 1 to 2 years.
